I enjoyed Ze Frank’s TEDTalk. He has so many interesting ideas. I was impressed that they were successful with putting a piece of bread on opposite ends of the earth. I also liked the “angrigami.” I was drawn to the one where they created a heart with the messages because of the irony. As for the web page by Justin Jackson, I would agree that it is better to shape a design around the words instead of the other way around. It is easy to jump ahead and work on the creative aspects, but the best designs have meaning.

1. I believe that YouTube is one of the best websites around. The first reason is because of diversity. You can watch all kinds of content whether it’s comedy, music, or trailers for upcoming movies. Not only is it for entertainment, but it can be for educational purposes as well. I’m a visual learner, so it’s extremely helpful to look at tutorials for an explanation to my questions. Additionally, I feel that YouTube’s connection is more quality when compared to other platforms because we can see the creator as they share their thoughts. It’s much more personal than reading a post off of Facebook or a message on Snapchat. In terms of user experience, I think the site is pretty easy to navigate. I like that I’m able to communicate through liking/disliking a video or leaving a comment. I also find it convenient that I can quickly access playlists I’ve created, videos that I’ve liked, and creators I’m subscribed to. However, I think YouTube would be improved if they didn’t put in so many ads since it’s disruptive to the experience. Another thing I would change is that the default for YouTube is the “recommended” page. Although it’s helpful, the algorithm isn’t always accurate at picking out videos I may like. I think they would capture people’s attention by displaying channels the user is subscribed to instead.
